Hello September Blog Tag!

Hey! I am starting a blog tag! I think it's my first ever to actually start, even though I've participated in stuff like this. So, please feel free to participate, even if I don't nominate you by name!

How to participate:
Please copy these questions (below), answer them, and then write out new questions (or just copy these) for the people you nominate below your answered questions. Please nominate at least 3 bloggers, but try to avoid ones that you know have already been nominated. Lastly, include these guidelines in your post, and use the tag picture!

My answers:

Windy or rainy autumn?

Do you like chai tea?

Tea or coffee?

If you could go to one state in the U.S.A. just for autumn scenery, where would you go?

Do you like any kind of soup in the autumn? What's one of your favorites?
Yes. Chicken and dumplings.

What color of leaves do you like best? Orange.

If you could go to another country just for autumn scenery, where would you go? Sweden.

Sweater or hoodie?

A hazelnut or apple cinnamon candle?

Cookies or brownies?

Faith // Chosen Vessels
Paige // Paige's Pages
Beth // Beth In Boots
And any other bloggers who want to do this tag!

Truth—With God You Can Do All Things

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Philippians 4:13

This is true—whether it's something I desire to do, or even if it's something I don't want to do.

I'll leave you with this passage in which God is talking: Isaiah 41:10.
"'Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'"

New Biz // Random

Hey bloggers! You heard it right! I am offering to design blog things! Right now I am offering headers (title pics), buttons (pictures that people put on their sidebar to advertise your blog), and even blog pictures (graphics, pics with words, etc.). If you look at the tabs above, you can see my new page that offers the headers! I don't have the pages for the buttons and graphics up yet, but I'll get there eventually. :P If you look at the header page, you can see things I've made in the past.
I am only offering to Blogger bloggers right now.

Lately I found my old stamp collection, found an art book I forgot about, (Finding that book saved me money, because now I'm not going to go buy a journal! Thanks, Jesus!) etc.

I also watched War Room last night! I have already seen it, but it's still really good! You should watch it if you haven't! Here's the trailer:

"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
-James 4:7 (ESV)

What have you been doing lately?
I started a challenge to take a picture every day for a year. I have only missed one day that I know of. Have you ever tried this challenge?

Black & White

Though black and white pictures can be old and new (these are newer),

There's something about black and white

That can throw you back

To what things could have been like

The olden days

and/or history

And so much more

Including dreams

What people did

& where people could have lived,

I hope you enjoy my pics.
They are not really "pics from the past" but they do have things in them that could be older. IDK for sure. :P
These are all my original pictures, please do not use these in any way.

Epic Murals!

I walked into this McDonald's on the way back from a camp, and look what they had there! Sadly, I didn't take pictures, but then, we went to the same McDonald's on the way somewhere else! Yay! So cool!

Rough Spots

There was a quote that I read recently by Anne Keary that inspired this post.
So, here I am going to share bits of what it was talking about, and my personal input, elaborations, etc., even if it's not the exact meaning Anne Keary was trying to get across originally. Here we go....☺ (Read quote here if you want, but I can't say I understand or completely agree with all of it. The link goes to someone else's blog, but I don't know the blog or blogger.)

There can be little hindrances and distractions from the day that keep us from doing what we have planned out for the day, and maybe even just time in the day set aside to focus on God....

But, like the quote talks about, it's these little rough spots are the parts of the day that we can "best offer to God."
So, when something happens in your day that you didn't plan or didn't want that may hinder you from doing what you did plan, like a flat tire or a setback at work, or even forgetting to get something at the grocery store, we can give it to God, follow His example on how to deal with it (what would Jesus do), and be grateful. And one good thing about these experiences is that they sometimes bring to your attention things you may need to change (like an attitude, a situation in your life, a way you deal with something, etc.)

Try to do what Jesus would do when these situations come up, and in a thankful way.
Whether small, medium, or large, give it to God, let Him use it, learn from it, and move on. It'll be okay.

When you go to God & change your attitude, every hindrance can become a help—strengthening you, instead of keeping you down.

What are your thoughts? I would like to hear what you think.

Have a blessed day!

Give It to God, and Don't Take it Back

Hello readers!
We all have bumps in the road, but we need not let that stop us from continuing on the road we are supposed to walk and in trusting God.
When a bump occurs, what do you do?
You give it to God.
You pray and say that you give it to Him, and you choose to trust Him and follow His will in the situation. You can even ask Him to lead you in what you should do if you need to do something, etc.
Then, following God, do your part (like forgiving, apologizing, making something right, resolving something as far as you personally can, calming down, doing the right thing and not the wrong thing, encouraging peace, agreeing to disagree, etc.), and then leave it up to God, and just be attentive to Him if there is any more you must do in the situation.

I am mainly talking about situations with other people in this post, just so you know. :)

"If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone."
—Romans 12:18 (NIV)

Then, if/when you think about it, pray! Don't worry!

"Don't worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."
—Philippians 4:6-7 (HCSB)

(I encourage you to look up Phil. 4:6-7 in different versions including NKJV, NLT, & NIV.)

And after you give it to God, NEVER TAKE IT BACK.
Read this... ↓

See how bad that sounds?
We shouldn't want to be like that—but that is kind of what we could be saying if we take (or want to take) something back into our own hands after we were supposed to have given it to God!

We should take the challenge, and trust God and His timing!

You see, if you give something to God, things change.
You can find peace, just like Philippians 4 was talking about, and you don't have to worry, either. God's got it, and He will make all things good in His timing for those who seek Him.

"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them."
—Romans 8:28

If you are a Christian, following God, and seeking His will in your life, I believe Romans 8:28 applies to you.

If you are not a Christian, what are you waiting for? God's arms are open wide, and He has wanted a relationship with you ever since you were born—and even before that!

"...If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
—Romans 10:9

"For 'everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'"
—Romans 10:13

Please completely read this!

Okay, everyone. I have been on a journey for months now, seeking sponsors. Yes, you may be tired of hearing this same message, but please hear me out. I am working with ChildFund International to help 30 kids in countries where $33/month will literally change their life and impact their future for the better. They need us--they need you and your support. And if you sponsor you will be able to speak into their life as well, for you get to write to them! I have personally experienced this, and am currently waiting to hear back. No, I don't have an income yet, but I am sponsoring in faith. Nothing is impossible with God. ☺
I ask you share this post and please consider sponsoring--contact me directly if you want to sponsor. If you go through the ChildFund website it will not help me with my goal.
Please pray!!!  Not just for me, but for the kids and lives affected.

Have a great day! Bless you all!
-Amy Lane
